Targhee x Polypay Sheep

In December 2021, a little over a year after we started the farm, we decided to expand, welcoming sheep to the farm. After some research and determining our purpose for sheep, we settled on a Targhee Polypay cross. These are hearty sheep that fall into the dual purpose, meat and wool, category. The characteristics of the Targhee and Polypay seemed perfect for our Michigan farm. In fall 2024 we added a Polled Dorset ram to our herd. He will hopefully be our sire for years to come.
